Lights! Camera! Hike?

Somebody get James Cameron on the line, I've got the next Hollywood Superstar over here:
Jerome Bettis, the No. 5 rusher in NFL history, claims in a new book that he faked a knee injury during training camp in 2000 so the Pittsburgh Steelers wouldn't cut him and install Richard Huntley as the starter.
"Man, did I do a nice job of acting," Bettis wrote in the book, "The Bus: My Life in and Out of a Helmet." "The thing is, I wasn't faking that I had an injury. I was just faking that the injury happened on that short-yardage play. I had to fool the coaches and the team's medical department into thinking the injury had occurred on that play. Otherwise, the Steelers would have had their reason to cut me and my salary."
Yeah, that's right baby. Gotta' watch your own ass right? Because who else will be... especially when it's money on the line. That shit is important, because it's hard to convince women for sexual favors without it. You've got to protect those greenbacks anyway you can, Jerome's just keepin' it real.
Nope, nothing wrong with this... it only tip-toes on that line of morals and what's ethical. Wait, morals and ethics? What the hell am I talking about. This is professional sports, those words aren't in their vocabulary. Why? Because there wasn't any space in the professional athletes Dictionary after Webster included "arrests", "jail bonds", "extravagant parties", and "hookers".
By the way, what's more surprising from this story? The fact Jerome Bettis can act? Or that he can write a book... And I hope he doesn't plan on a career in acting. I've seen that GNC commercial where he mixes a bunch of shit into his orange juice and starts playing football with a bunch of little kids.
Everytime it comes on, I just hope that the ending would change just once where he picks up the little girl and pile drives her.

Thanks for the mental image of the BUS pile driving that little girl. My day is made.
The problem is, the BUS would probably pile drive ANY girl...
if you know what I mean.
