The Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches announces the availability of a new confidential program for athletes. It was developed to address the needs of the athlete who may suffer from impairing conditions that involve medication, substance use disorders, psychiatric, and psychosocial problems. BHOP has a national reputation and enjoys the distinction of being the first full time athlete's program in the nation. The protocols, policies, and procedures have been emulated by many of the other programs throughout the country. This program has been developed to more appropriately address the similar issues among professional level athletes, paying particular attention to the issues that are particular to that population group. PSP is designed to evaluate and recommend an individualized, confidential, treatment plan. Participants in the program will be able to access the appropriate, professional, and comprehensive services that they require and deserve.
